It's Alive!

Yes, my blog is officially dead... as expected...

*Sheepish grin*

I'll be more hardworking come May lah,
if i'm not busy travelling around celebrating post-final year freedom, heh...
To ease your troubles, I shall put them updates on my nick ala Wingyee, ahah...

Anyway, here are some ad hoc updates based on dodgy pics taken from my new phone...

i know
i know

i'm so slow...

But what to do, it is my first camera what... all 1.3 M pixels worth of it... haha...
Someone sponsor me a real one soon to justify my remarkable skills, ahem...

First up...
Lovely roses and the handsome watch...

Being the typical overexcited female adolescent,
Couldn't help but experiment one's fav subject...
Aww come on, it didn't turn out that bad wat...

More narcissism, and yes,
The Rachels were featured on Funky Grad... kewl

Which reminds me... The best Rockers group pic at jamx.. ahh memories... :o)

We had the rare opportunity to have 'A World Less Ordinary' recorded at SAE studio, courtesy of audio engineers Jerome & JC...

The studio itself and the 4 divas (ok ignore the ah ma at the side, hurhur)...

An experience of a lifetime, since it felt like a real multi-million dollar kinda music recording... We had a taste of the graveyard shift shivering in the cold lil room from 7pm to 11am (I only started singing at 4am) to the point where everyone got bonkers... esp. Shi Li... who went around taking wacky videos of herself, heh...

Nevertheless, the guys were professional it got Miss High Standards me pretty impressed... heh

Digital proof of mad Shi Li at 6am...

and sound engineer no. 1, Jerome, fast asleep with a pillow...

Sound engineer no. 2, JC with the 90 000 dollar console...

that is capable of a 'snake dance' demo... it's just awsome lah

An enjoyable yet surreal experience...

esp. with Rachel scaring the hell out of everyone when the studio alarm was accidentally set off in the middle of the night... haha...

Sigh, back to the dingy lil band room...

Here we see the Rockfest band jamming away... go Ah Boo!

A bored Victor decided to abduct our cute and cuddly mascot 'Weiguang' and bondaged the poor fella up...

eeeeeeeeeeee

On a different note, I decided to take some lab pics on the last day of practical to show you guys what we bohliau pharmacy students do for every 3 hour session...

The first in Natural product practical...

some titration involving the change in the voltage reading (left) or the change of color of the indicator from colorless to pink...

Another practical on dosage form...

where we made capsules and tablets (which would be irrelevant anyway since machines are used nowadays... sigh)...

in our cheap and tattered labcoats...

At least this experiment was interesting:

To coat the sugar pellets with a color film...

like these pretty ones in bottles

Made the call for Red... since no one has used that color yet...

made up the coloring solution, which really looked like Bloody Mary...

Next in went the pellets into the coating machine (Wurster fluid bed dryer) that blows the pellets and the fine spray of coloring upwards, similar to how a fountain works... gradually coating the pellets to an even color...

But erm, unfortunately... the first time went disastrously wrong when the spray rate was too high... and it ended up looking like the scene of a gory accident... eg. a finger that got stuck in the machine and got grinded up, haha

But they still turned out fine at the end of the day...

voila, our Bloody Mary pellets...

and the multi-colored capsules filled with such pellets...

spot the rainbow and Spore flag versions...

And finally, the last pics of the classmates' Vendetta movie outing...
The buidling @Atrium (heard MTV's there)...

The 3 stooges and the Ice Age 2 ad...

The 3 stooges close up...
