Garden

I see flowers in the garden. I think.
It's gonna be a beautiful day.

(Updated bit)

Malted Milk

Finally managed to drag a few Rockers & Jin down to the Old Brown Shoe to watch the blues duo Malted Milk.
Ah pek Victor was on fire with the blues guitar as usual.
The singer (watshername = Anjana) was pretty impressive for a raw talent.
And they featured guest performers Surath & The Harmonica (watshisname = Kelvin "Smokey" Ng) guy.

Dodgy videos are up on multiply:
Malted Milk (Original)
Malted Milk (ft. Surath)
Malted Milk (ft. Harmonica Guy)

Rockers in action: Surath & Ah pek

Jin and I. Thx for coming along dear!

NgeeAnn Poly Tv Show

Crashed Soongfee's Media & Film studies studio while volunteering to be a salsa labrat for their TV show project.
Had to check out the funky equipment and all.

School of Media & Film studies, and the Grafitti wall.

Soongfee's current proj: TV studies

The students hard at work with the props n cam

The control/editing room (i think)

The Runaround

Finally took pics! *smug look*
The interior at Stickyrice was superb.
All maroon and black. I like.
Unfortunately, the silly phone cam couldn't do justice for the chic red glow.
This'll do, for now.

For the curious, check out their new branch @Raffles City :D

Stickyrice. And the Red bar, drool

The food: Thai. Pretty good, yum.
The company: Fantastic.
The atmosphere: 80s ballads? Lol at least someone's happy with tt lah.

Barley. Extra Tall.

Stumbled upon a novel sight at Bugis:
Recall the pedestration crossing btw Seiyu & Bugis Market?
The island was overflowing with ppl such tt the traffic wouldn't budge. At all.
Funny how the crossing further down was deserted. Lol.

Push & budge

Bugis market itself was also ridden with humans.
Hate crowds. Got sweaty too. Grr.
But it was worth the Puma bag & the Rugged tee.

And look! Giant Buns!

Randomcity

No introduction needed.

Had to post this poster's version of Crash. Powerful words.
Yet to rewatch it though, heh.

Who's the piglet? :P

Woah, birdcages still exist. Cool

Seriously, egg tart ice cream? :S

Irish A Levels

This week wasn't close to perfect.
(And my monitor died. Dammit.)
But then on the brighter side: It ain't bad either.

Shouldn't think too much.
It skews one's expectations of things anyway.
Maybe there was nothing less than the way things are.
Smile. Attempting.

At least this helped a bit in cheering me up.
Wish I was in Ireland to take such exams, heh.

Been looking ard for these funky Nike weights.
Sooo pretty. But it's apparently out of production.
Will have to scour the island for the last few pairs then, sigh.

Felt bad for making Silly Shi Li lug the wrong pair of weights ard town just to return it the next day. My bad for the miscomm :S
But I love the Adidas top in exchange. Muahahaha.
Thx babe!

Week 1

This is it. And it better be it.
Goddamn validation model's been driving me up the wall for months.
This time, the bugger'd better be nailed. Grr.
Crossed fingers. Toes too.

Sigh, the days've been crawling by so slowly.
Can't wait for the weekend to come.

Veron's Bday

Celebrated the fashion guru's bday with the smsu peeps last week.
Nice ambience. Food, err, edible. Barely lol.

Aerin's @Raffles City. Complete with fountains.

The fashion guru & her glam cake, heh.

The unforgettable Aerin's fluoroscent green drink.
Diabetes guaranteed.

Pacific Coffee

Ploughed Suntec over the weekend with Shi Li & Adi.
Came across a drop dead gorgeous hunk.

In complete silver. Peugeot 407. Drool.
I want. I want. I want.

Stumbled across some pretty flowerpots. And electrifying.
Fine they're pink, but they ain't tt bad :P

Plonked down at Pacific Coffee for supper after a night of loitering and keyboard searching.

Swanky old school interior *thumbs up*.
They even had a bookshelf of retro books like Beano comics!
Whoa haven't seen them for eons

Best of all, they serve low-carb ice blends :D

Salsa Nite Out

One of the rare gatherings with the Salsa3 (aka SherryTreeFriends) gang,
since many have left for overseas. Sigh. Miss you guys lah & the zany activities.

What would a STF outing be without the usual booze collection? lol

The whole nite was spent attempting Guitar Hero.
Dammit, I suck at it. So much for being a novice vocalist. Haha

Close up of what Guitar Freaks is about.
Similar to DDR / Arcade games, you gotta hit the right buttons at the right time on the frets.

The cool poolside and interior. Just like a resort :D

Couldn't helped being intrigued by the abstract portrait.
Does it look like someone familiar?

Guild House Bbq

One of my most embarassing times. Ever. Lol
But it didn't matter, did it?
Gotta remem to take pix the next time.

Randomcity

The usual.

Reminder: Buy cheap beer before 12am.

Why somethings are better left to M'sia.
Note the fluorescent color of the cendol. And what are those other stuff??

That was Xmas: Red Balls.
And now: Red Lanterns.
Smart ppl. Good for budget saving huh, haha.

Interesting ad on rapes in marriages.
Apologies for the dodgy pic. Too dark lah.

The things ppl do for self-amusement.
But really, crosstitch on a moving, bumpy bus ride?

And the best of all,
G-strings for sale at a 7-11 near you.
Buy one free one. Unisex too. Lol

SheMale Brain

Got this quiz off Fongky's.

Apparently my brain has a bit of difficulty deciding what sex it is.
How worrying. Lol.

What's your brain's sex?

Light

(In the bg: Fix You by Coldplay)

Black and white. Hard edges, like paper cutouts.
Softened with shades of grey. Grainy.
Like the rain hitting against the windshield.

Behind the wheel of an antique.
Black. Shiny.
It crawls so slowly on the uneven tar. Soaked.

Left the place of mirrors.
Grand. Spectacular. Empty.
Just mirrors.

Occasional flashes of light. Fills the interior.
Harsh. Sometimes gentle.
Nudges on.

The map on the floor, unused.
The invisible thread beckons. Yet so fragile.
Where to? Black. Or White.

Does it matter?
No more mirrors.

Does it matter now?

Almost

Lala Aftermath

Ah yes, I've finally had time to upload Jason's cool SLR pics of the gaudy Lala Sunshine boys (sigh, of all photography subjects, why these??)

The Lala President (in Langkawi green) & his faithful konco-konco...

The Ah Beng hair colors of the year (gasps of horror).... which Fongky has cleverly mistaken as "beautifool fireworks" ahahhaa....

Nah, here's for u, the Actual NYE Fireworks across the street... lol

And of course, the Pres just had to display his pimp harem to the world...

One big happy Lala family!

The aftermath of the Lala Sunshine saga continues: Pres' lil bro with his cheeky hairdo (a few days after)... and the Pres' cheapskate necklace still stays a week after.... eee...

Sherry&Co. Auhupo Gig

Some informal pics of the adhoc band concocted of Ah Leem, Vic, Doni, Adi & Guest singers Shi Li & Surath for NUS's Bioconference event held last Dec...
It is at times like this when generic band names come in handy, lol...
Since the Original Bunch of Jokers (The Freeloaders) were busy with their final exams... siiiiggghhh...
Nmlah we'll have our fun soon yeah?
Thanks all anyway, for the tremendous time, effort & support put in :D :D

Soundchecking onstage...

The Big Ppl and the Big Cake...

And best of all, freeflow food & Beer! Oh yeah...

A Chef's Tour

Had the most amazing feast cooked by a chef last week...
Dined in at a home with an interior tt i would love to use for my own...
Couldn't help taking pics of the place for future reference, heh...

The Lady herself, and fiance The Chef... bravo!

Indian feast: Chicken/Lamb kebab, Papadam, Onion Wade-like stuff, Salad, Grilled Prawns... All Homemade... yummm

Oh what a lovely home... I shall have benches for dining too in the near future...

More: The "Evergreen Xmas tree", the intricately carved bronze mirror, and the bedroom in chic simplicity. I like.

The usual section:
Looks like it's gonna be a permanent subheading of every post, heh

Some little discoveries during the new year runaround...
Do i see lil fluffy animal TVs? :S... perfect for the taxi seat, i'm sure...
And Mr. Kiasu's still alive! wahhhh... memories of primary school, lol...

Also checked out Mustafa centre, which existence I never knew of since I stepped into this country... 4 huge floors packed from floor to ceiling of min 10 brands of the same type of product: from flour and shampoos to tvs and thousand dollar watches. All at a cheaper price. 24hrs open too, a rare sight to this country.

Damn, y hasn't anyone told me about it earlier?

Couldn't help checking out this full-length mirror at Blook...
Now tt shall be in my future walk-in wardrobe...muahaha

The Guinness ad tt just screams gay... *shudder*

Fongky's latest fling: balding bears... lol

A rare day when you see mud on the streets... and a whole stretch too...

And the source is...
