Xmas was very much in the air at the gsk lab, especially when half the population are from a western county... the office was laden with xmas trees, xmas lights and pretty white baubles... decorated by the ppl themselves...
Got caught up in the spirit myself as I aspired to be a cheery xmas tree too...
Not a good idea...

With just a few weeks in the lab, 7 Xmas cards (including Big Boss himself) as well as a neverending supply of chocs and candy canes occupied the barren workdesk...

a pretty sight to greet one on a sleepy morning...
Amongst them was a sweet message from Alex, touched!
Wouldn't mind staying for an industrial attachment with the bunch of happening colleagues, if I'm ever needed, hehe...
And this is the office space lucky me has acquired for the past few months...
desktop, phone line, green company mug and loads of cabinet space...
brought along a shoebox to keep 'em shoes whenever i got sick of trudging in 'em in the lab... bring on the hall slippers...
A self-portrait taken during a boredom stint...
With the company cam... oops...
The week before the break, the lab celebrated the december babies' bdays during a xmas tea with a Breadtalk log cake...
The ladies got perfumes and cosmetics, while Ben clinched the most interesting present of a $88.88 ang pau! Hahaha who would have thought of that...
(L to R: Shab, Ling, Chrissy, Chris, Claire, Ben)
Last but not least, who wouldn't forget giving dear supervisor Ed a nice lil pressie before he zips back to his snowy home to enjoy his rounds of xmas booze n poker games?
Would had figured this sign most appropriate for a mad scientist, haha...
Supervisor assistant Aveline's present will be given tomorrow after her trip to UK...
Hope she'll like the snowman bell... since she's into cute stuff anyway...
Sigh will miss the lab once fyp's over...
Wouldn't have expected the project to be half as fun, gotta work doubly hard to justify Ed's and Aveline's highly commendable level of dedication and patience now... shall be hoping for the best...
