Gig Whore
(Sorry to disappoint u guys, but this obviously isn't me :P)Singing. Grooving. Screaming.
Seducing the audience. Or attempting to.
Remembering the adrenaline rush in the veins in anticipation of the crowd's cheer and the blinding spotlights.
The slight crease on the forehead in revision of the last min change of lyrics or progression.
The moment of triumph upon execution of the last song.
Could never have enough of 'em gigs.
Never will.
Not even with grey hair, wrinkly skin & falling teeth.
Those who are yet to graduate may not appreciate as much how precious each moment is spent fooling around in the bandroom and prancing onstage.
It is only natural human behaviour to take these priviledges for granted until, of course, these aren't granted anymore.
It is only after a series of events got us realizing how much we wanted our band to work out.
Especially with the huge potential we have to rock the world out there.
Hey, how many bands have female power harmony sia!
Well, we have loads to learn from the big boys like Surath the one man wonder, and his band Reverie.
Ah pek Victor the fast fingers blues maestro.
The Dubious Bros, JamX winners.
We're the new kids on stage of course.
But hey, we might be rocking your neighborhood soon enough ;)
And especially with an exciting lineup of the new Freeloaders.
Who they are, you may ask?
Patience now.
We shall debut soon.
To freeload on anyone and everyone. Muahaha.
Hello world, here we come.
With a bit of luck. A bit of sweat.
A bit of tears. A bit of hope.
A bit of everything.
P.s. Cut my hair short in a spur of a moment again.
Looked like I'm bloody acting cute again.
Dammit.
P.p.s. Inspired by The UnXpected to take up acoustic. Well, enough to bluff with lah at least, hehe. Should I? Should I?

Reflection
(Regu A, NUS)
Got this off Adi's Indon gang performance.
Amazingly beautiful rendition of Begawan Solo; just had to share it to the world heh.
Bravo!
Caroller's Medley
(Kent Ridge Hall Acapella, 2006)
I see myself, I see myself!
The KR Acapella singing a Caroller's Medley @Timberland, Vivocity.
Good stuff ;)
You're Beautifool?
OMG, what a way to remember my final year in KR, lol
This was an unforgettable showcase by the A block final years as a token of remembrance to the hall residents.
The aim: To make a bloody fool of ourselves. Success.
Their rendition of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful (I'm Bloody Gay)"
Hilariously brilliant!

Garden
It's gonna be a beautiful day.
(Updated bit)
Malted Milk
Finally managed to drag a few Rockers & Jin down to the Old Brown Shoe to watch the blues duo Malted Milk.
Ah pek Victor was on fire with the blues guitar as usual.
The singer (watshername = Anjana) was pretty impressive for a raw talent.
And they featured guest performers Surath & The Harmonica (watshisname = Kelvin "Smokey" Ng) guy.
Dodgy videos are up on multiply:
Malted Milk (Original)
Malted Milk (ft. Surath)
Malted Milk (ft. Harmonica Guy)

Rockers in action: Surath & Ah pek

Jin and I. Thx for coming along dear!
NgeeAnn Poly Tv Show
Crashed Soongfee's Media & Film studies studio while volunteering to be a salsa labrat for their TV show project.
Had to check out the funky equipment and all.

School of Media & Film studies, and the Grafitti wall.

Soongfee's current proj: TV studies

The students hard at work with the props n cam

The control/editing room (i think)
The Runaround
Finally took pics! *smug look*
The interior at Stickyrice was superb.
All maroon and black. I like.
Unfortunately, the silly phone cam couldn't do justice for the chic red glow.
This'll do, for now.
For the curious, check out their new branch @Raffles City :D

Stickyrice. And the Red bar, drool
The food: Thai. Pretty good, yum.
The company: Fantastic.
The atmosphere: 80s ballads? Lol at least someone's happy with tt lah.

Barley. Extra Tall.
Stumbled upon a novel sight at Bugis:
Recall the pedestration crossing btw Seiyu & Bugis Market?
The island was overflowing with ppl such tt the traffic wouldn't budge. At all.
Funny how the crossing further down was deserted. Lol.

Push & budge
Bugis market itself was also ridden with humans.
Hate crowds. Got sweaty too. Grr.
But it was worth the Puma bag & the Rugged tee.

And look! Giant Buns!
Randomcity
No introduction needed.

Had to post this poster's version of Crash. Powerful words.
Yet to rewatch it though, heh.

Who's the piglet? :P

Woah, birdcages still exist. Cool

Seriously, egg tart ice cream? :S

Middle
This came to mind when I stumbled upon the opening credits of Love Contract
(Jasmine Leong's Zhong Jian)...
At least the first 30secs of it was beautiful...
The theme, the art direction, the music...
Ponder a little longer and maybe you'll see how it reflects my character...
(Yes i was looking around rummaging thru PeekVid's asian dramas when I got bored of House :p)
Yeah ignore the bits after tt...
Coz unfortunately the theme wasn't carried through successfully to the end when it got sappy...
Odd how it would be a Chinese vid since I'm not so... Cina... heh
P.s. yet to review the drama... hope it ain't too lame :P

Adieu Darling :(
It was almost unexpected, yet unsurprising...
For a little (mad) bundle of joy that was once so hyperactive and zippy: shoveling sand all over the place, gnawing a pretty bathroom dish in pieces, noisily churning the treadmill in the middle of the night, or chomping onto my finger in the middle of a testosterone-filled battle...
I tought he would have eventually recovered from his waning appetite, like he never failed to before...
I was wrong, I could have seen it coming...
When he started spending more time away from his little bedroom...
I'm so sorry...
I wish I could have done more in time...
But the time inevitable came...
These fond memories shall always be treasured...
Thanks for being the source of companionship all this while...
Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye by Cole Porter
"Everytime we say goodbye,
I die a little,
Everytime we say goodbye,
I wonder why a little,
Why the Gods above me,
who must be in the know.
Think so little of me,
they allow you to go.
"When you're near,
there's such an air of spring about it,
I can hear a lark somewhere,
begin to sing about it,
There's no love song finer,
but how strange the change from major to minor,
Everytime we say goodbye."

The Moon's Now Purple
Has she crawled back from the dead?
What has happened to the entry 6 months late?
This time it shd be more than just a million apologies... oops, heh...
So many things had happened, I don't know where to start :P
So from now onwards, random pics & comments will the the most I can afford out of my itty bit of my busy schedule... sorry guys!
And to facilitate fruitful visits to this lil corner of the world...
Updates shall be included on my nick :)
So for a start, I'll churn out pics from my cheapo (yet useful) phone...
Next posts with feature those nicked from others phones & cams heh...
Enjoy!
The Band: Sherry&Co.
Well, the name's "officially temporary" until we can find one that every member could agree on (which, from the months of bickering since the birth of this humble lil group... would take years maybe, lol)...
No, acronyms do not work either, especially with such a wonderful composition of:
Sherry
Hanrong
Ivan
Tim &
Shi Li
Think we'll need to buy some 4D soon... lol...
So far, the focus are on top 40s covers...
(and maybe some uncle songs too, heh)...
We've been lucky enough to have some events coming our way within a short period of time...
Though the latest was quite an... experience... performing for a supposed high & mighty society...
Oh well, we've all gotta start somewhere aye?
And least we got some great hotel food after a mentally exhausting day's work :)
Return of the SMSUians

2) Drinking Master Mei-Foong's bday...
(Reminder: Always take pix of the parking lot no. since Mr. Siow always misplaces his car... lol...)

3) Sam's farewell dinner @NYNY...
More stories to be updated with Jacin's pics in the next post...The New Home

The Workplace Tour
And rows of balls along-side the pavement...

And my fav bit: The Skygarden, situated on the top floor of the office building...
A remarkable atrium solely powered by solar panels (see those dark rectangle patches on the glass window)....
& great Zen-like design of a water feature...
As well as a glassed conference room (including the floor!) set atop a Zen garden...
I like... :D
How about its people?
Strictly color coordinated... the blues vs. the reds...
(Fine it was pure coincidence :P)

At the workplace, you'll get a neverending supply of unique, imported titbits since you get ppl flying in from conferences all the time...
Amongst them: Choc casino chips frm US... Multi-flavoured licorice from Switzerland (lemon flavor, vanilla, etc)...
Sometime you even get some interesting local delicacies: E.g. Garlic muffins (!?!?!?!?) from Baker Boys & whole Scary spiny fishes from Ghim Moh food court...
What's at my desk then, you might ask?
Some pretty lavender flowers nicked off the Hol V food court florist...
And a combi of Maltesers, Butterfly (& a banana???) which I got as bday presents some while ago... sure brings the definition "the thought that counts" to a whole new level... haha...

And yes!! Have you ever seen a Magic Troll since the primary days???
In response to the colleagues gang of punky-haired lil creatures...
I turned my Stikfas male into a Mat Rock guitarist and stuck it on the desktop...
(and the guitar lights up man... its a badge... lol)

There you go, hope tt's good enough a virtual tour :)
Shd you need a proper one... Give me a shout and I'll show u guys ard
As for now... ciao!
Next batch of random pics to be up in a few days, heh...
