23?? *Gasp*

Bday Highlights
Turned 23 last week... and feeling old and unemployed, haha...
Nevertheless, this year's one of my best bday's... never had so many ppl wishing me, nor had as many celebrations before... Friday with Aca & their "Sara" Lee cake, heh... Sat with Rockers, Sun with neighbors, & next week with classmates...

Had the best (granted) wish list this year too...syiok :o)
1. Ipod shuffle
2. Dance shoes (when I find it, haha)
3. Ipod skin (also yet to be found)
4. Adidas perfume
5. Ear rings
6. Bracelet x 2
7. Swiss choc (mmm)
8. Dinner / Lunch x 3

Now if only someone sends me a gorgeous, sexy hunk with washboard abs wrapped (only) with a ribbon, it would be perfect, ahahaha... ahem, must be the alcohol...

Neighbor's outing:
Sadly, only so few of us turned up, due to the last min changes, sorry! Poor Ole & Lynn fell victim to the flu bug too, glad their alrite now... :o)
Had to work even on my b'day, singing a Destiny's Child's medley for The Magnets (Acappella) workshop... Oklar it was worth it thrashing Sheares & getting the Magnets all excited with our tubes & err, Beyonce -like shakes, haha....

Anyways, had dinner at the Crustacean... superb desserts, esp. the choc cake, definitely worth the 20min wait! And thanks lots Liyi & Ophe for waiting hours for us to rush back from town... at least I got my candle blown by midnight heh... & we still enjoyed ourselves bitching & gossiping from crushes to Felie's adventures with the auntie from hell... heh... we'll have another outing soon yeah? :o) Maybe for my next hair show? hee...

Me and my lil' bday cake :o)

Rockers outing:
Had dinner at Swensen's... Earthquake was marvellous (sooo sinful, but I dun caaaarreeee).... Took some photos with Ah Lim's big-ass camera...

The list...
Yes I can be that anal even with a gathering, haha...
(Ok my bad, Lin & Pam were supposed to be on the left column too, oops)...

The senior babes... *preen* *smile* *pose*

Soon everyone started snatching Lin's huge uncle specs to pose in them...
Supermodel no. 1...
Supermodel no. 2...
And err... Ah pek no. 3?

Then Ah Leem decided that he should prove he has professional skills worthy of his big-ass camera...
Guess which shot was his...

Rape of the earthquakes... noooooo~~~
(Vic & Ah Leem: muahahahha... *drool*)

As guilt on the 2 earthquakes settled in, we decided to embrace the healthy lifestyle of walking (yes walk!) from Millennia Walk to Clarke Quay...
30 mins later, after many detours, moanings and complaints... we collapsed at the MRT...
"9 lil Rockers, hangin on a wall..."

Finally we reached Blue Bar Bistro...
13 people happily squeezed in a corner to some booze and great music from the 2 bands (Parking lot pimps, and what's the other Filipino band again?)
And yup I agree the walk was worth the harmony & skills of both bands... glad we stayed to catch their rendition of Kiss from a rose, Stars & Heaven knows...

The Rocker babes...

Nope, I ain't high... *hic* *hugs glass of martini*

And lastly off to Shah Alam (wuuttttt??) mamak behind Boat Quay...
Sweet Laremy was so thoughtful to join us all the way from Bishan... touched!
The highlight was of course Ah pek Vic's classic devouring of sup tulang, complete with bone knocking, horrifying sucking noises, and gravy-covered hands (hands, not just fingers)...

As proof, I included a pic of traumatised Ben...
You'll never look at Ah pek Vic the same way ever again...

Mmm... *slurp slurrrrrp* *burrrrp* *more drool*

Anyway, thanks so much guys for coming down...
Had a great time! Feelin' so loved, hehe...

Goodbye Wingyee!
Checked out LADC's salsa social night a few weeks ago...
Quite a quaint little shophouse with a romantic, classy ambience for dancing.. Tho I spend most of my time gaping since the dancefloor was covered with experienced & skilled couples it just puts me to shame... sigh...

Hung out with some of them at Mac's & caught The Maid (damn, wasn't as scary as I expected... tho it was entertaining watching it with one nodding away and three squeaming about, heh)...
The rest of the pics are by Porshee... dammit, I wanna get a digital SLR too, really good stuff!

Porshee, Eddie & Alison...

Adeline & I...

A couple of weeks ago was Wingyee's last lesson at Jitterbugs before she flew off to the UK... had a farewell outing with supper at Newton Circus (too bad Keith couldn't join us, had to work at Barcelona as usual)... the guys made her guzzle down a bottle of beer, which she hated, poor thing... then adjourned to Porshee's for more overnight drinking & dancing (salsa, hiphop & goodness knows wat, haha)... Eventually everyone got knocked out on the floor at 6am... Had to drag ourselves to breakfast & back home...
A crazy fun time nevertheless with this bunch of wacky ppl, heh...
Keep in touch gal! Dun go too crazy over there ya? :o)

Farewell present: a few smooches...

And a broken back...

Huddle huddle...

Threesome salsa...

Blondie and the Olive Oil

Blondie Night
Didn't I say I was gonna be blonde for TGIO?
I was initially excited to be only one wearing a blonde wig... coz I thought I would be getting the kewl Roxette/Bon Jovi hair-do, until Zhonghan smirkingly tossed me this mother-of-all lion mane... Oh f**k...

2 days later, past the screams of horror & screeches of laughter from neighbors & Lynn's regular boys, I dejectedly accepted lovely role of the (assetless) Dolly Parton of the "Smelly Pink Panties" band (I still dunno how the heck they came up with that, eurgh)... since I was the only gal in the Mat Rock band... dammit... oh well, at least I had my revenge of sludging red paint across their faces haha... (great idea of Dad's... the beauty of having a hip arty dad, heh... u rock! And noooo it's not Ninja turtles k???)... and we got the crowd roaring to an 80's female medley... and of course, me fav "I'll be there for yooouuuu" :o)

Hold your breath and... EEeeeEEeeEEEkkk!!

The Smelly Pink Panties... purrrrr

Sigh, how traumatic... my first & last year performing as a blondie, which I desperately hope I wouldn't be remembered by when I graduate... not to mention the absolute entertainment I provided to my virgin groupie classmates & SMSU mates... sigh...

Oh well, at least the Rockers had their own share of wearing gigantic afro wigs, nerdy glasses or ah beng hair-dos, heh...
(For more pics, see cJaY's, aH boO's or aH liM's...)

One big mental family...

Best of all, the event itself was hosted by our very own, melodious.... OrangeMan!!

*Drumrolls*...

"B-I-N-G-O and bingo was his name ohhhh~~~"

And since I had the bird's nest stuck on my head for the rest of the night, I decided to make my 20 bucks worthwhile tasting the experience of a blonde air-head with my fav band men...

Dolly Parton & her toyboys:
Jimi hendrix & Bon jovi...
Ceena geek & Kirk hammett...

and Ah beng...
Aarrgghh... attacked by Ceena geek!

Final year performing TGIO... melancholic yet traumatised, what a mix of emotions, haha... It has been good anyway... esp. post pizza/booze supper... heh... Gonna miss this lots soon :o(

Finally lost the wig, ahhh... more bailey's... (CJ snickers: "Hee hee hee~~")

Olive Oil Virgin Experience
Yess I finally attempted cooking sth substantial for the masses! Ok, so it was Ah Lim's infamous olive oil pasta recipe, but at least I touched the ladle... and it was the first to be finished... hee
Now just gimme another 5 years or so, I would have come up with another recipe by then, ahem...

Tada... finally sth other than mudpies and apple swans...

Rockers supper at Keith's was the usual agenda...

Outdoor bingeing...

Followed by indoor boozing & movie viewing...
As usual, the girls snagged the baileys n started dunking choc ice cream into it (and yup Pam was the first to go, heh)...
And I swear I didn't get too high this time, really!

Alternative options were pool...

And mahjong...
Note the aftermath of the binging session in the foreground...
Attempted 2 games out of hours of 'observations'...apparently I didn't inherit Mum's mahjong kaki blood, still cluelessly lost...
Think I'll just stick to learning how to cook, haha...

All-in-all, it was still fun, and we enjoyed the air-con, heh...
And I swear the kois have grown much bigger...
Alrite, shall blog about the Bday & Wingyee's farewell party next...

Nooo Life~~~

Year 4 life? What life?
Aiyooo... who da devil said final year's the slackest year? Am taking like 5 mods & and fyp this sem... so my free days on mon & wed r taken up with socializing with rat brain smoothies in biopolis.... and the rest of the week peppered with weekly case studies, tests, and a ridiculous overload of project discussion for each module....haih, even skipped my 4-6 lecture (out of my 2-8pm marathon) to catch an extremely short nap....barely have time to sleep nor clean my room.... which is turning into a pigsty, far from my normally neat state....but i still love my green egg lamp lugged from home's IKEA (ok, out-of-point, haha).....sigghhh nooo liffeeeee

Salsa
Salsa classes have been upped to twice a week, not tt I'm complaning, since it's an attempt to prove to myself tt I still sorta have some form of social life, haha.... Nope dun think my improvement is proportional to the frequency of classes, since I still seem to be clueless with the leads, heh... At least in Salsa 3, the guys are less err, desperate and genuinely passionate about dance (i.e. most probably gay), so it's way more fun to learn now :D

Hilton weekend
Anyway my 2 ex-classmates from M'sia were here for the past 2 weekends for their work attachment... So took the opportunity to gather the SMSUians for a few meals, gossips & lotsa-lotsa shopping together... then of course had the liberty to check out the Hilton's duvet and air-con facilities.... so cheapo, but oh well, was never shy, muahaha... next destination to crash: EH's condo? haha

Momo
Also finally visited Momo to see ah lim n keith play last weekend with 2 funky babes ah boo & (alicia keys) shi li and yes our dear chaffeur hanrong (who also got stuck in the line for 30 mins waiting for us to bring him in, oops)... ha see keith, said i'll drag down a few more supporters liao :P ... Anyway haven't had so much fun grooving ard for some time already... and aiyo, this alcoholic boo made us down 3 jugs lor... at least i was still walking straight, didn't blurt out embarrassing stuff, nor get violent (ahem)... just went err, prancing around like a maniac...

Halfway during the performance, Mr. Shane had a group of hot blondes screaming his name... hmm, this couldn't do... so we gals did the mock fan club screams for Ah Leem & Keith too, altho someone was too busy banging the drums away to notice, haha... oh well, another good deed done :P

The mock tai tai portrait (with new recruit Shili Keys!)...

Reverie...

Keith, Ah Leem & the Momo groupies...

More details & pics on Ah Boo's & Ah Leem's website... Checked out Reverie's fav blues/jazz haunt nearby as well... Totally awed even tho we heard only 1 song, not even sung by the regular band... gonna terrorise tt place soon... the next rockers outing maybe? :o)

Okay... back to aca & TGIO practice... can't believe I'm gonna wear tt huge blonde 80's hair... thanks to zhonghan...sigh, hope i wun make a fool of myself :S

A Hol of Events

Yesss... finally back from blog hibernation... been busy with work, rag n everything else... well, procrastination & laziness have played a part too... so shall make it up with a substantial entry...

Part 1: The End of the Internship
Ended work 2 weeks ago with many important lessons & experiences learnt... some the fun way... some the hard way...

like handling an absolutely bitchy pharmacist (who ironically loves the sales rep instead)...
being told off for bugging a short-tempered doc...
being banned from the hospital for probing too much with my survey...
and eventually finding out tt my researched product wasn't very promising...

Nevertheless these are indeed priceless compared to taggin a hospital pharmacist for 6 weeks... and the consolation was tt the management were impressed enough with my presentation, so i shan't complain heh...

Ultimately, I was glad I had great company during my attachment... the 3 interns I could bitch with, my adorable hardworking supervisor whom I could connect with, and my dear irritating product specialist whom I could squabble with [oklah he can be really nice too heh :o) ]... in fact, we colleagues went on a trip to genting and spent the weekend being absolute tourists... foot reflexology, shopping & sauna in kl... casino, more shopping & overnight tai di in genting... haiyo i'm feeling more like a "malay-pore" by the day man, haha

Will miss this wacky bunch of ppl, hope to keep in touch wif them in years to come :o)

4 Power suits in the boardroom...

Farewell outing at Barcelona with the marketing managers...

Me fav supervisor Sally :o)

Part 2: The Hair Show
Michael called me up to be his hair model for his toni & guy academy graduation hair show, so how couldn't I resist a free haircut & color, & a chance to prance around on the catwalk?

He stuck to red highlights (this time super bright red, too bad it was only semi-permanent... which has faded by now)... along with more bright red hair additions... so coupled with the pink haute couture dress & fishnet stockings, I looked like a kinky jap character... embarassing sia... oh well, at least it was way more fun as one of the 3 special hair-up models than modelling normal clothes... the other 2 was a hot moulin rouge look and a cool freaky veiled hair look... Michael definitely deserves his best student award :o)

Not to forget my makeup stylist, who gave me the most colorful makeup i've seen, n i still look pretty good in it, heh... reds, pinks and golds with purple eyelashes... really creative

Model wannabe...

The models & Micheal at Club Momo...

The corpse, the Lian, the Stripper, the Jap fantasy and the Pontianak...

Part 3: Centennial Rag Dance
This is the year of stripping... We poor rag dancers had to strip twice... from white flowy togas skimpy amazon warrior skirts... wah lau, never felt so exposed in my life before... haha... but I have to admit that this year's dance choreo is the best of my 4 years in hall, just too bad we didn't win the centennial shield... we really had a fighting chance... just tt maybe the costumes (tt we singlehandedly sewed ourselves, sad huh) and the makeup (which Celia & I stayed up the whole night doing) weren't impressive enough, since they were thrown together at the last minute...

For those who didn't see the dance, the theme was about a girl, Sarah... whose colorful vision of celebrated life was taken away by the Dark Prince, resulting in her blindness and the change of the float and dancers to greyscale... then the Light Prince rescues her and returns her vision back to its full color and eventually defeats the Dark Prince, albeit in a violent way (he chops the creature's head off)... not a bad idea in my opinion really... just that the execution was less than satisfactory sadly...

Oh well, last year to dance rag anyway, n I felt all nostalgic and melancholic on that sunny Saturday... especially when everyone started singing the KR family song, funny how the years flew and you're graduating soon already... and everything you do this year will be your last... so I guess I'll be treasuring every single event I can now... for the last time...

5th floor neighbors!!

On the pick-up ride...

The KR rag dancers...

The KR Raggers & float...

Ended up totally exhausted after tt of course, but didn't really have a nice long sleep since i was tossing & turning over my badly burnt left shoulder... so much for wearing togas...*ouch*...still hurts... hope it doesn't peel off in chunks...gross... (although neighbors said i look much better with a red tint and pseudo-rosy cheeks... hmm i get the point, i need a bloody tan, heh)

Anyway had weird intermittent naps... 3-8pm.... 12-5am... 9am-1pm... all these with a feverish aching body & a bad sore throat... well at least i'm feeling much better now... since i did sneaked in a few fries today... tempted... so had to counter it with a gazillion more fisherman friends and ice lemon tea, heh

Part 4: NDP
Finally on this night's NDP eve concert held for the first time at Marina (yup where ppl fly kites on a romantic afternoon)... And ironically this is the first time i've ever been to an NDP celebration since my 5 years of stay here, hehe... so yeah, I was pretty jakun and excited about the event tt I dragged my classmates out at the last min (one eventually ffk, sighhh) so I could spectate the fireworks firsthand...

The concert wasn't much... almost died listening to 2 chinese boybands (K-one & 128 club or sth) and I only caught FIR's last song Lydia (no wonder I didn't really bother going to their celebrations, but it was not tt bad lah)... and the ground was grossly muddy, got my white sandals and feet totally soiled, sighhh... but at least it was worth the fireworks lah... love the parachute-like, the morning glory & the spiral-like designs... when can m'sia ever reach tt level of precise & creative choreo? not in the near future, sadly...

Anyway, happy b'day s'pore... will prob just spend tomorrow studying for thursday's test, in just week 1! sianz...

Bladie Tag

Damn tagboard... getting all faulty again...
Been stagnant for days... grrr

Anyway, some updates on the internship:

Played tennis with colleagues last week (boss treated again, yay!)
Sounds more like a vacation rather than work eh?
U can even ppl distributing Godiva chocs and tasty kuehs around...
Well not to say they don't work hard and play hard... the stress level's undeniably high...
At least they do emphasize on the team-building aspects too (hence the monthly rendezvous, including tmr's Star Wars screening, haha)... I already handed in my suggestion for the salsa-merengue-tango-lindy hop taster classes... So hope it'll be approved b4 we leave, haha...

Anyway, busy week this time...
Finalising the survey and product info sheet, doing some roleplays before i get thrown out into the field to meet serious, grumpy hematologists...haha...
Excited but dreading it at the same time... It's always the first few times tt are the hardest before u get the hang of it (like being thrown out of the room, heh)...
But for now, back to the damn survey
Will blog on neighbors' outing in the next entry

One of Those Days

"There was a teacher and his student sitting under the shade of a tree near a field.
Student : Teacher, I'm confused, how can we find our true soulmate?
Teacher : (Silent for few seconds) Well, it's a pretty hard and easy question.
Student : (Thinking hard) Huh?
Teacher : Walk straight ahead to the end of that field. Walk forward but never turn back. On your way, find the most beautiful flower, pick it up then give it to me. You can only pick once.
Student : Well, ok then... wait for me...

A few minutes later...
Student : I'm back.
Teacher : Erm, I don't see you holding any beautiful flowers.
Student : On my journey, I found a few beautiful flowers, but I thought that I would find a better one, so I didn't pick it up. Before I knew it, I was at the end of the field, and I hadn't picked up any. Since you told me not to turn back, so I couldn't go back for the previous flowers.
Teacher : True, and that's how similar it is in real life.
* Flowers = People in your daily life
* Beautiful Flowers = People you are attracted too
* Grass Field = Time

In the search for our soulmate, our suitable career or the best decision, we always compare and keep looking for a better one until we run out of time, and most of the time, we can't turn back to those missed windows of opportunities.

Therefore love & grab hold of the opportunities that you have now... no more regrets

Secrets of Success?

Got this off someone's blog...
hmm wonder how useful this will be

Investor's Business Daily Top Ten Secrets of Success
1. How you think in everything:
Always be positive. Think success not failure. Beware of a negative environment

2. Decide upon your true dreams and goals:
Write down your specific goals and develop a plan to reach them.

3. Take action:
Goals are nothing without action. Don't be afraid to get started. Just do it.

4. Never stop learning:
Go back to school or read books. Get training and acquire skills.

5. Be persistent and work hard:
Success is a marathon, not a sprint. Never give up.

6. Learn to analyze the details:
Get all the facts, all the input. Learn from your mistakes.

7. Focus your time and money:
Don't let other people or things distract you.

8. Don't be afraid to innovate; be different:
Following the herd is a sure way to mediocrity.

9. Deal and communicate with people effectively:
No person is an island. Learn to understand and motivate others.

10. Be honest and dependable; take responsibility:
Otherwise numbers 1-10 won't matter.

White Jackets & Power Suits

Ironically, I should be in bed nursing my fever which stayed for days but I couldn't sleep... prob got used to waking up early already...sigh...

Have been absolutely busy these few weeks tt I haven't had time to update my blog... ok yeah, prob it just the procrastinating me, heh...

The Move
Took days to shift over to A block during the hols, since I had to start work on the same week, how frustrating... Had to grab Daylene's trolley & Lee Chong's arm to squeeze the oh-so-many things into CJ's room... so yeah, it's all cluttered & squeezy (inside AND outside)... with 2 monitors on the table, tons of food & millions of boxes, heh... felt really bad when I had to displace her to the sleeping bag, but had a good time hanging out with a roommate for a few days... just like the jc days... err maybe not, bad experience with ex-roommate, haha...

Rocker's Supper
That was madness... never seen so much food for 9 people before... like 9 trays of them?? haha, didn't even get to touch any of the food I tapaoed (which Laremy thankfully requested for a few days later, phew)... Glad to know the choc fruit fondue was well-received (recipe stolen from Charlie, betta give him credit....ginza's cheap choc slab rawks!)... which adds to my measly list of hall supper repertoire of apple swans & pre-mix brownies, hahaha... i know, can't cook for nuts la... i'll prob just end up hiring a maid for tt... or marry a damn good cook!

A Week of White Jackets
Yup, got the internship I wanted (yay!) so I only spent a week attached to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (and no, i don't see any SARS patients around)... Pretty nice ppl there... Only managed to see the Inpatient pharmacy and the Wards... They have a pretty kewl internal tube system tt sends tubes of documents, lab vials and medications to their respective wards... and automated machines carrying food & beddings to each floor, impressive...

Met many types of patients during ward rounds... mainly diabetes patients which my preceptor was in charge of... it's quite a sad sight knowing tt many of these older patients & multiple complications and have their legs amputated due to grangrene (bad circulation reduces sensation of their limbs, so they are usually unaware of any cuts and bruises tt may get severely infected)... And meds they're on... a whole list of them... at least 10-20? sad... especially when u see lots of them staring into space with a pained expression... pharmacists, docs n nurses here cope with the grimness of the situation (especially in ICU) by taking everything on a lighter note (the jokes they can crack, aiyooo... horizontal vs. vertical discharge?) or else they'll get seriously depressed man...

Anyway, there were lotsa MO's (medical officers) ... bunches of groupies following one doc around... if I was the patient I prob would have been v uncomfortable having 10 ppl scrutinizing me & prodding me around... hmm at least we looked better in our pseudo-pro white jackets vs. their unwashed labcoats, haha... i'm biased...

First Week of Power Suits
Janssen-Cilag... This is where I'm currently working (pronounced Yansen-Silag... yeah I know, I went "huh??" when the person called me for an interview.. some German company) ... the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson (now I see tt look of recognition on your face)... for industrial attachment... well, marketing-based lah... market research on a leukemia medication (blank look again?)... So i get to wear power suits (or more like work for one, haha) ...

Mighty glad I took up the internship coz:
1. Way better pay (than $5 a day... duh)
2. Much more interesting work, tho insanely challenging (vs. packing, packing, packing drugs)
3. Get to learn about pharm sales & marketing
4. Get to meet power ppl (who can also be krazee)
5. Get to work in an office room (not cubicle)
6. Free lunches (was last treated jap buffet lar, yum)
7. Transport & phone bill covered

So will be stuck here for the whole hols earning my first proper pay... but I'm not complaining, heh... For now, life is good :oD
More info on the internship next entry... shd get bk to sleep

P.S. Am starting to like FIR.. haha can imagine olea nodding her head... someone help enlighten this pseudo-ABC on Liu Lang Zhe Zhi Ge? heh

Freeeedom

Yessssh, it's finally over after 5 consecutive days of torture, muahahaha...
This sem had the worst modules and the worst lecturers, felt like I've aged a few years already... *frowns at an emerging wrinkle*...

At least I had great friends to pull me thru the dark times... To my darling neighbors, thanks for the lovely titbits n the destressing bitching sessions, heh... To my new found bros C n J, thanks for being there for me n forcing me to mug, haha... n yes, u guys really should meet up sometime!! :D
Anyway, best of luck for the rest of ya who r still hard at work, jiayou!

Now shall have a bit of retail therapy Back Home.. .*evil laughter*

Renewed Faith

Tonight's command supper has brought back many meaningful bittersweet memories of the old hall, n the block's waterfall & 3 and a half pine tress... All tt during the screening of the tribute videos, deeply touching the many hearts (including mine), some even tearfully...

I admit, I haven't been contributing much to the hall, what more to the block... But being the slow learner me, studies had to be a priority since i had to work doubly hard just to maintain an average cap... a painful lesson i learnt after getting burnt out n screwing up my cap in year 1... n to think i could juggle student council & 4 cca's in jc, sigh...

At the same time, I was also already aware of the dwindling in hall & block spirit after moving to the new location.. with an unfriendly pgp-like room arrangement (n truly horrendous architecture), ppl naturally got more distant from each other since it was now much easier to hide behind closed doors... even calling ppl down for dinner was already a chore to the block comm, shouting up 7 floors instead of 5... things were not what they used to be... everything was different, from the juniors' nonchalant perspective on hall or block spirit to the trickling numbers of alumnis coming back just to have supper & have a chat with their juniors at mini fong seng... because there is no sense of belonging to the old kr anymore...

Naturally, most of us seniors would feel dejected n discouraged about these changes... whereas I was convinced that my faith, especially for the block was almost gone since I was more involve in hall based activities...

Until tonight...
Maybe it's the realization tt i'm gonna be the laolang next year n time was running out, maybe I was finally feeling overwhelming guilt for being a phantom for so long, or maybe my new perspective of life had changed my views on the rationale of staying in hall... Nevertheless, as i saw every single laolang's genuine enthusiasm and love for the block reflected on their tear-stained faces, as they spend their last precious times together making dnd costumes n command videos... i was glad to know tt as i searched deep in my heart in turn, i was able to find back the true B blocker spirit which i thought i had lost...

So thank you so laolangs, for renewing my faith in our block in time... with one final year to go, it's still not too late to contribute all i have to the block... n be the true blue, dedicated, charismatic block senior we freshmen have all looked up to and inspired by once upon a time...

Just 1 Lil Blog

Oh, I give up... my fingers r itching already... So I shall satisfy my cravings with one short lil entry... I hope, haha...

The Quake
Last week kicked off with a massive 8.5 scale earthquake in Indon.. supposedly felt back home & Spore as well... n wat was I doing on Mon midnight? Blissfully munching away on neighbor's stash of love letters n watching CSI, oblivious to any hint of tremors... bet those ppl from Eusoff were cooking up some story just for 10 secs of fame then

The Avocado
More on glorious food... tasted my first authentic avocado juice at the Alexandra hawker centre...the texture so thick n smooth, and the flavor, absolutely divine... way better than science's diluted, artifically flavoured rendition (with coffee, i bet)...damn, never knew tt until now, n i was already nuts abt the latter...

The new-found love :D

The Maths Confession
Last week was also when the campus was shocked, or should i say amused, by the confessions of a love struck guy to a maths student... via, a powerpoint slide?? How, errr, romantic... I shouldn't further embarass them, I'll just add the link to the audio...haha...
Tip for guys: Only do this if u have absolutely no fear for rejections...
Even when ur wearing a suit and carrying a bouquet of red roses...

The Cab
Friday... salsa was getting more... confusing... can't remember the previous combis, or their mind boggling names... La Huna, La Whazitsname, La Blablabla... dis bad... dancing also will need to take notes? sigh...
Rushed off to aca supper at Esplanade after lessons... salsa Keith suggested catching a cab there... since he was on the way and 'this time (9pm) easy to catch a cab wan'...
1 free cab whizzed by, ignoring us...
And another...
And another...
15 mins later, the 5th free cab crawled by, again blatantly ignoring 2 frantically waving ppl... hmmmmmmmm...
20 mins later, we ended up calling a cab...n it appeared in the blink of an eye...
The next time... I shall walk like I'm destined to...

The Supper
Supper itself was truly memorable... With 14 of us terrorising the couches & attacking 14 scoops of ice cream at Haagan-Daz... then warbling all kinda songs (yes, even xmas carols on a hot april) at the back of the bus... BOTH ways... at least I think we weren't tt bad, since no auntie gave us 'The Killer Look'... lol... have to admit, it was only this year tt I start to feel a sense of true belonging to the Aca family... so definitely no regrets for staying another year in Aca... thanks for everything guys :)

Oops, blog's not too lil anymore...
Ok bk to work... sighs...

Work in Progress

Hmm... with exams around the corner, tests every week... I'll be busy shoving my head into books and growing fat munching comfort food (yes, more choc :D)... So entries will be (very) infrequent... In fact, I should keep away from bloggin... since searching for good jpeg's n spouting crap are always a welcomed distraction...

Alrite, shall sign off for the month, hopefully, heh...
